In the Medical Sensors Lab at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) novel medical measurement methods are developed. To achieve this, we combine physiological knowledge with current research results from electrical engineering and computer science. Current biomedical research topics are bioimpedance instrumentation for pulse wave analysis (impedance plethysmography), reliable muscle contraction detection (impedance myography), and electrical impedance tomography (EIT). In addition, we develop wearable health monitoring systems.
